BrightSteps Foundation

The BrightSteps Foundation was created to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent individuals with disabilities from accessing meaningful vocational training and support. The Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships, hands-on skills training, and supportive resources that empower individuals to build confidence, independence, and opportunity.

Why Your Support Matters

Many individuals with disabilities have the ability and motivation to work and live more independently—but financial barriers often limit access to the support they need. The BrightSteps Foundation exists to bridge that gap. Your sponsorship helps ensure that cost is not the reason someone misses out on meaningful vocational training, skill development, or essential support tools.

Closing the Employment Gap

People with disabilities continue to face significant barriers to employment. Nationally, employment rates for individuals with disabilities are far lower than for those without disabilities, and unemployment remains nearly twice as high. In Tennessee, only about 4 in 10 people with disabilities are employed, leaving many individuals who want to work without access to the support they need. Your support helps change this reality—by funding vocational training, job coaching, and essential tools that open doors to opportunity, confidence, and independence.

A Partnership With Real Impact

When you sponsor the BrightSteps Foundation, you are partnering with a mission-driven organization committed to ethical, person-centered support. Your generosity directly impacts individuals and families by expanding access to services that build real-world skills and long-term independence.
